EEProm Passwords

EEprom Passwords are a pain to get rid of and don't actually allow you to do anything with the system unless you have the password. Generally the only way to get ride of them is by using a utiliy provided by the OS, however the system has to be bootable and you must be able to logon as a root user. The easiest way of doing this is to replace the disk with a pre-built hard drive. Once the system has been booted and you have access you can run the following command.

eeprom 'security-mode=none'
This will remove the EEProm password..
