Tonight Apple is finally "letting the cat out of the bag." Yes, it's Mac OS X v10.2 Jaguar (get it? cat? out of the bag?) and it hits the shelves this Friday at 10:20pm (get it? version 10.2? at 10:20?). Is the new release as good as its puns? We'll find out soon!

Two of the Web's progenitors are thinking big — Vinton Cerf (designer of TCP/IP) and Tim Berners-Lee want to take the Web interplanetary. Their plans, including new Internet protocols and a re-thinking of the way servers talk to each other, could soon be used to beam data from Saturn directly to your cell phone. Somebody call Buck Rogers!

Blogtree is a blog genealogy tool that lets registrants declare which "parent blog" influenced the creation of their own blogs — could be kind of interesting and illuminating (a la the Van Gogh Museum, which puts paintings that inspired Vinny right next to his work), could be completely unnecessary.
