The Webmonkey Tour

Whether you're new to Webmonkey or you've simply lost your way, this quick tour of what's where should point you in the right direction.

Getting around Webmonkey

The easiest way to get started at Webmonkey is to choose — based on who you are and what you're hoping to accomplish — one of our three "launching pad" areas of the site. So if you're looking down the barrel of your very first website, that makes you a Beginner. If you have a site or two below your belt and you want to buff up your skills with more advanced site-building mojo, then try our Builder section. And if you've been Webmonkeying around for years now and you're ready for something really challenging — serve your own site, slap together a database, rebuild your backend — then you're definitely Master material. (And if you don't even know what a website is, then here, let us guide you through the Internet basics.)

Don't like to be pigeonholed? Sink-or-swim types can dive straight into our archives. Webmonkey has a slew of tutorials and articles, which we've sorted into seven magnificent categories: Authoring, Design, Multimedia, E-Business, Programming, Backend, and sub-category will give you a nice, global view of the site.

Or just cut to the chase and use the Search box at the top of every page to find exactly what you're looking for.

What's New?

For your convenience, we've come up with a number of different ways for you to learn about the latest, bouncing baby-new additions to Webmonkey. Simply pick the one that most meets your needs, and we'll do the rest.
